Dr. Martina Kawome
Dr Martina Kawome has a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Diploma in Ophthalmology and Masters in Ophthalmology from the University of Zimbabwe. She is a fellow of the College of Ophthalmology of Eastern Southern and Central Africa (COESCA).
Dr Martina is also an Honorary lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe where she also engages in research. Her special research interest is patient-centred care and has published articles on the subject. In line with research, she is also a fellow for PERFECT and PETRA from the University of Zimbabwe.
She is a Telemedicine (Ophthalmology) Consultant for Solidarmed. She co-founded Rare Disease Zimbabwe Trust which led to being a World Health Organisation Collaborative Global Network for Rare Disease panel expert 2021-2022.
